Opis:
Defenders of Ardania to gra strategiczna osadzona w świecie znanym z cyklu Majesty. Jest to produkcja zespołu Most Wanted Entertainment, czyli autorów RTS-a Joint Strike Force. Ci sami ludzie wcześniej byli członkami studia Stormregion, gdzie współtworzyli cykl Panzers.
Akcja osadzona została w magicznym świecie Ardania, czyli uniwersum fantasy stworzonym na potrzeby serii Majesty. Do wyboru są trzy różnorodne rasy – ludzie, potwory oraz demony. Każda z nich posiada własne zalety i słabości. Rozgrywka stanowi wariację na temat podgatunku tower defense. Zabawa polega więc na obronie własnej bazy za pomocą budowanych struktur defensywnych. Tym co odróżnia Defenders of Ardania od podobnych tytułów jest możliwość zagrania również stroną atakującą. Niezależnie od tego jaką rolę wybierzemy, pod naszą komendę oddane zostaną 24 typy jednostek (w tym również latające) oraz taka sama ilości budynków obronnych. Wraz z postępami w grze zdobywać będziemy środki potrzebne do rozbudowy naszej armii, trenowania nowych wojsk oraz ulepszenia struktur. W odniesieniu zwycięstwa dużą rolę odgrywają też ofensywne i defensywne zaklęcia.
Autorzy przygotowali długą na kilkanaście poziomów kampanię dla pojedynczego gracza z rozbudowanym wątkiem fabularnym. Co więcej, w przeciwieństwie do większości gier tego typu w Defenders of Ardania nie zapomniano również o rozgrywkach wieloosobowych, w których może brać udział maksymalnie czterech graczy. Dostępne są trzy tryby zabawy i uczestnicy zabawy mogą zarówno toczyć ze sobą boje jak i połączyć siły przeciwko komputerowi.

Defenders of Ardania is a next-generation tower defense game set in the rich fantasy world of Majesty, but with a twist. Besides the addictive core mechanics of placing towers to stop advancing enemy units, Defenders of Ardania also allows players to take on the role of the attackers seeking to conquer the enemy base.
Defenders of Ardanias innovative new game concepts include light RTS elements, taking the popular genre to the next level. Players must oversee unit production and upgrades while assembling the most effective army from one of three playable races, each with unique locations, towers, and units. However, without magic, a fantasy game is little more than a toothless lion (or dragon, rather), so a wide range of spells will be available for players to decimate their enemies and protect their forces.
Although Defenders of Ardania includes a single-player portion, the focus of the game is undoubtedly multiplayer, where two to four players can take each other on or compete against AI opponents via Internet, LAN, or PSN. The multiplayer component offers three different game modes where players can assume either the defensive or offensive sides -- or both!
